The Lincoln Project

Friend,

Trump said he’d lower prices on day 1.

Day 23, and here we are. With the highest inflation rate since August of last year

What’s to blame? We’re gonna go with the big orange idiot in the Oval Office and his dumbass policies that he actually thought were going to “save” the economy.

Who’s the orange idiot blaming now? The guy who left office nearly a month ago.

Yeah, ok. Does he think we’re stupid? Is he so senile that he can’t remember igniting a bunch of trade wars with our allies before he even took office?

This is where we’re supposed to go on the attack. Donald Trump promised to lower prices and he raised them. That’s what tariffs do, by the way. And now the people who voted for him are suffering.

We are going to call this out until we are blue in the face. Take note, national Democrats. This was Trump’s biggest campaign promise! All of the whining about grocery prices? And now, three weeks into his presidency, you have to pay an upcharge at Waffle House for eggs? We’re not letting this go.

This is just another in a long line of failures, and it must be exposed. Trump is screwing everybody over and trying to put the blame on the last president. This is his strategy. Making stupid moves and refusing any sort of accountability. We’re not going to let this work.

For today and the rest of this buffoon’s stay in Washington, we’ll be on the attack. We’re at the forefront of this fight and refuse to back down. When he screws up, we’ll be there. Chip in to show us you’re with us >>
