Filed by the District of Columbia, this under-the-radar attack targeted patriots like Jonathan Peter Klein, Roberto Minuta, William Pepe, and Dominic Pezzola—heroes pardoned by Trump.
The District claimed they “conspired” to disrupt the election certification on January 6, 2021, and demanded millions for police overtime and “emotional distress” of officers.
Let me tell you why this was ridiculous. They twisted 42 U.S.C. § 1985(1)—a law meant to protect individuals, not governments—into a weapon against our patriots.
Worse, they tried to sue for personal injuries that cops should’ve claimed themselves, not some city bureaucracy. It was a shameless cash grab, pure lawfare to bankrupt our clients and mock Trump’s pardons.
