Here’s what they found:
- 82% of the most-followed online shows are right-wing.
- Right-leaning shows have nearly 5X the total following of left-leaning ones.
- 9 of the top 10 biggest online programs lean right, including Joe Rogan, Ben Shapiro, and Candace Owens.
And it’s not just political media.
Right-wing influencers have taken over comedy, sports, entertainment, and culture—embedding their ideology into every corner of the internet:
- Right-leaning comedy shows alone have 117.5 million followers—20% of the total following of all shows analyzed.
- On YouTube, right-leaning shows account for 65 billion views, more than double the views of left-leaning shows.
- On Rumble, a platform favored by the far-right, right-leaning shows have 3 billion views, while left-leaning shows have virtually no presence.
By spreading misinformation and framing Democrats as the enemy, the online right is reaching millions of disengaged voters who don’t trust traditional news sources.
