Earlier this week, I voted NO on the House GOP’s continuing resolution. I want to explain why.
John, this bill does nothing to help working families or our veterans. In fact, it jeopardizes healthcare for veterans who were exposed to toxic agents, like Agent Orange.
This bill does nothing to reign in Trump or Musks’ attempts to completely dismantle congressionally enacted government agencies like the Department of Education or the Department of Veterans Affairs.
This bill is not in the best interest of Kentuckians and their families, which is why I voted against it.
This is exactly what we can expect from a GOP-controlled House, which is why we need to retake control ASAP. Will you please pitch in $25 to help keep KY-03 blue en route to flipping the House in 2026?
Rather than use scissors to trim fat, Trump, Musk and the GOP are taking an axe to government programs that help people — cutting funding and contracts for food banks and school lunches, firing food and safety inspectors at the FDA, and gutting the Department of Education, impacting its ability to enforce civil rights laws in schools.
I’m going to fight the GOP tooth and nail, John, and I need your help turning up the pressure.
The most important thing we can do to put a check on Trump and Musk is to retake the House next year. Can I count on you to help me do that by chipping in $25 (or whatever you can) right away?
Thanks for having my back, John.
