I won’t stand by while Donald Trump and Elon Musk dismantle the Department of Education

This week, the Trump-Musk administration cut over 1,500 jobs at the Department of Education in an unprecedented attack on our nation’s students and educators.

My grandmother was a public school teacher, and the value of education — especially quality, public education — is especially important to me. Public schools provide pathways to success to ensure every child can meet their full potential.

If we truly want to improve education outcomes, slashing half of the Department’s staff is not the answer. In fact, it would have devastating consequences — especially for students with special needs who depend on federal resources for support. Without enough staff to implement essential programs and services, how can we expect students to get the help they need to succeed?

I’m outraged.

I’m committed to doing everything within my power to fight for students, teachers, and professionals nationwide to reverse these outrageous cuts at the Department of Education. If you’re with me, will you make a contribution today?

Democrats have fought back against this extreme agenda at every turn, but if I’m gonna be honest, we need more members in the Democratic coalition in order to have the majority we need to protect our communities from these attacks.

With public school champions stepping up to strengthen our base in Philadelphia, we can put a stop to this.

Thanks for your support today,
