Dear Illinois Republican Family,

The Illinois Republican Party supports Republican candidates and works to secure victories in service of the public good. Its efforts focus on Get Out the Vote initiatives, training programs, and election integrity measures, including recruiting and training election judges and poll watchers, maintaining accurate voter rolls, and other related tasks.

Election laws are enacted by the Illinois legislature and enforced by the Illinois State Board of Elections. Understanding these laws is essential for the upcoming elections. The deadline to register online for the consolidated election is March 16, but grace period registration is available through April 1 at election authority offices and early voting sites. Checking your voter registration is quick and easy through the Illinois State Board of Elections Voter Registration Lookup, and finding your early voting location is as simple as contacting your County Clerk or local election authority.

Republicans were the only voting group who increased their share of mail/early voters from 2020 to 2024. By committing to vote early, Illinois Republicans can take the lead in shaping our state’s future and advancing conservative principles. Your early vote will shape our local schools, public safety, and local infrastructure. Our county and township Republican organizations are working very hard in motivating Republicans to vote early or vote by mail and to do so in groups with family and friends. Together, we can defend our conservative values and ensure our voices are heard.

And remember—life is unpredictable. Work, weather, or illness could stop you from voting on Election Day. By voting early, you secure your voice in your community’s future. Early voting is open from March 17th through March 31st. Take advantage of the extended hours and locations. Let’s come together, vote early, and shape a brighter future for Illinois because JB Pritzker and the Democrats are pushing extreme, radical policies into our non-partisan elections. It’s proof that local elections have real consequences and it’s more important than ever to make sure your voice is heard.

If we are complacent, Illinois Democrats will continue to push leftist out-of-touch policies for working families. Recently, Assistant Republican Leader C.D. Davidsmeyer (R-Murrayville) criticized the bad bills and misplaced priorities of the Democratic supermajority in the Illinois General Assembly. He stated that "Illinois is facing significant problems with our budget, with public safety, with high taxes and the high cost of living. With the State of Illinois facing a $1.2 billion budget shortfall, Democrats are pushing bad bills that will make Illinois’ budget problems even worse."

In spite of the challenges facing Illinois comes hope. The Illinois Republican Party increased mail-in and early voting turnout among Republicans by 35%. For the first time in state history, low-propensity Republican voters cast early and mail-in ballots at a higher rate than unreliable Democratic voters, outperforming them by 7.6%. Momentum is building. That is why our Red Gala on April 25 at the Schaumburg Renaissance is such a critical mission as it will fuel our GOTV and early voting efforts. Individual tickets are now on sale and I look forward to seeing you there!

Finally, please join the Illinois Republicans to stop the Illinois Democrats ATTACK on homeschool families. Send a message to Springfield that intrusive mandates and punitive measures for families making the choice to homeschool must be stopped. Parents deserve the right to make their own decisions regarding their children’s education. This is just another attempt by big government to expand their power and influence over your parental rights. Please make your voice heard by signing the petition and share my message below to end the attacks on Illinois families’ choices about how their children are raised and educated.

Statement from Kathy Salvi on Democrats Support of HB 2827

Illinois Republicans need your help – Democrats are trying to pass an extreme, dangerous piece of legislation that would diminish our rights as parents to homeschool our children. They want government bureaucrats in an office in Springfield to dictate what you teach your children, and how you teach them. This is a poison meant to interfere with parental rights and your right to teach your children. Can you take 3 minutes and fill out a witness slip telling exactly what you think of their unlawful powergrab?

Competing in Critical Initiatives: Last election cycle, the Democrats invested nearly $20 million in early voting, VBM, and GOTV initiatives, while we could allocate only approximately $400,000. This disparity greatly affected the outcomes of many close races. However, Republicans made significant gains in early voting and utilizing VBM as more Republicans embraced voting before Election Day, thanks to the efforts of our first Bank Your Vote gala.

2024 Results: Republicans were the only voting group who increased their share of mail/early voters from 2020 to 2024.

  • The Illinois Republican Party increased Republican mail and early vote turnout by 35%.

  • 1 in 4 low propensity Republicans voted before Election Day–the highest percentage in Illinois history.

  • Low propensity Republicans voted early and by mail at a higher rate than unreliable Democrats for the first time in IL history, outperforming them by 7.6%.

Our heartfelt prayers are with the family and friends of Craig Roberts. Craig was a generous, humble, and dedicated public servant who touched the lives of so many of our staff over the years. His legacy will live forever.

During the 2024 election cycle, we partnered with local Republican parties to ensure a strong presence during vote-by-mail processing. As we move forward, Republican election judges are in high demand, and we need your help to continue these vital efforts. With vote-by-mail playing a major role in our elections, all Republicans must take action.

🔍 Ensuring True Republican Representation
A review of voting records in Chicago, suburban Cook County, St. Clair County, and East St. Louis revealed that many so-called Republican election judges have a history of voting in Democratic primaries—this is unacceptable. We must do better in ensuring Republican election judge positions are filled by those who uphold our values.

👀 All Eyes on the Ballot
Election integrity starts with you. We need Republican poll watchers to help safeguard our elections. Every effort—big or small—makes a difference. If you have questions, concerns, or need training, contact CJ today.
