John, it’s Ruben.

I’ve been a fighter my whole life.

Had to fight to make ends meet for my family as a kid.

Had to fight to get into Harvard with no money and no connections.

Had to fight to survive Iraq as a Marine.

Had to fight for the care my brothers and I needed from the VA.

Had to fight to get into Congress, and then the Senate.

I did not come all this way to give up as Republicans in Congress decide to hand the reins over to Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and a bunch of grifters who want to destroy services that millions of people depend on.

There are moments when you have to cowboy up, stiffen your spine, and do the tough thing. This is one of those moments, and I am not going to back down. Arizona sent me to the Senate to fight for them, and that is what I am going to do.

Today, I’m going to vote against this terrible budget. Next, I’m going to do town halls in the reddest parts of Arizona to take the fight to Trump and Musk on their home turf. No matter what comes after that, I’m going to need your help.
