Attending the National Prayer Breakfast

I was honored to attend the National Prayer Breakfast in the U.S. Capitol last week to hear President Trump speak on the importance of prayer and faith. America was founded on a belief in God, and I’m thankful that prayer is still an important part of our nation.

Touring Crystal Sky Travel Plaza

I enjoyed touring the new Crystal Sky Travel Plaza with Choctaw Chief Cyrus Ben. The Crystal Sky is the newest investment by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians into their community. This new facility employs 200 people and is a great addition to the city of Louisville.

Voting on the Midnight Rules Relief Act

Today, the House voted on the Midnight Rules Relief Act. This bill would allow Congress to consider multiple pieces of legislation that would overturn last-minute rules and regulations of the Biden-Harris Administration in a single vote. President Biden’s eleventh-hour regulations hurt small businesses and economic growth, and House Republicans are working to reverse these decisions that made America less competitive. The Biden Administration crammed through 1,524 regulations from August 1, 2024, through the end of his term. In 2024 alone, the Biden Administration imposed more than $1.34 trillion in regulatory costs. This is unacceptable, and I am voting to fight back against the unnecessary red tape enacted by the Biden Administration.
