February is not just about Valentine's Day — it's also Black History Month, a time to both celebrate the triumphs and reflect on the struggles of the Black community in America. We show our love for every person impacted by Alzheimer's disease by working to raise awareness of racial health disparities and to increase local education, care and support resources to help Black Americans, who face significant health disparities in dementia care:

Older Black Americans are twice as likely to develop Alzheimer's disease than white Americans.
They are less likely to receive a diagnosis in the early stages of Alzheimer's.
They are severely underrepresented in clinical trials — including those for Alzheimer's treatments.

At the Alzheimer's Association, we are working to address these inequities. Our TrialMatch® tool connects individuals living with Alzheimer's, caregivers and healthy volunteers to clinical trials that may advance Alzheimer's research for all people. And we're partnering with national and local organizations to advance health equity, increase access to resources and promote inclusion in the fight to end Alzheimer's.

None of this crucial work can happen without your love and support. Right now, your gift can go twice as far in addressing these inequities, advancing research and providing much-needed care and support for all who need it during our Double the Love 2X Match Challenge. Help us stand up for equity in dementia health with a gift now.

This match has been made possible by a generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous. Their $100,000 pledge in support of DIAN-TU Primary Prevention means that any gift you make, up to $100,000, can provide double the love by going 2X as far to accelerate vital research and help provide crucial care and support.

It's crucial that we make the most of this opportunity because we have big plans for 2025 to advance our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. Your generosity will help us continue:
