Now that we have group meditations on Manifest Nirvana, this Sat 6th June Andrew is giving an in-depth introduction to the practice, specifically in the context of enlightenment. One could say that there are three dimensions to both enlightened awareness and meditation:
Unconditional trust, or unconditional faith, means a fundamental or core existential trust in life itself. Paying attention is the profound capacity to be peripherally and subtly aware, to be able to pay attention to the totality of experience. Letting go means letting go of everything, perpetually. It does not mean letting go of this or that. It means letting go utterly and ceaselessly, in such a way that there is no gap of time. These three dimensions are either the direct experience of enlightened awareness, or the practice of it. When we understand these dimensions, they can reveal to us the interface between the state of enlightened awareness and practicing the position of enlightenment. If one is spontaneously awake to enlightened awareness, one is always already basking in these three dimensions, as one's natural state. At the same time, to practice these three dimensions is to give rise to enlightened awareness. This is why meditation and enlightened awareness are fundamentally one and the same; the path and the goal are one. Join Andrew on 6th of June for this introduction to meditation in the context of enlightenment – we look forward to seeing you in the Teaching Hall. Warmest wishes, If you are already a Friend or Resident, you do not need to book for this event. Just sign in and enter through the Teaching Hall. Meditation and Enlightenment are |
