Hey John,
The world is heavy right now. Authoritarianism is at our doorstep, and the constant wave of crises is exhausting. As organizers, we’re often in reaction mode—moving from one crisis to the next without a chance to pause or strategize, but we can’t build power from a place of burnout. If you feel that, know this: You’re not alone.
That’s why we created Camp re:power [[link removed]] , a four-day in-person experience designed for BIPOC organizers and leaders to pause, process, and recharge together. This isn’t your typical gathering. Camp re:power is 60% convening, 40% training, and 100% dedicated to building power. It’s part strategy, part healing, and fully rooted in community and liberatory organizing. This space is about finding our power, reflecting on our path, and recommitting to the long-term journey toward the liberated multiracial democracy we all believe in.
Here’s what you can expect:
🪞 Reflect
Release and find clarity through guided reflection and somatic experiences including Care-A-Lot, a transformative wellness experience by TaylorSpace, blending somatic practices and guided reflection in a safe, supportive space for connection and growth.
🔄 Reset
Revitalize your organizing skills and sharpen your strategies. Our workshops, led by nationally renowned trainers, will help you deepen your practice in Grassroots Organizing, Movement Technology, Electoral Justice, Women of Color Leadership, and Progressive Governance.
🌱 Recommit
Grounded in community and collective action, you’ll leave Camp re:power with renewed purpose and a clear vision for building a future of abundance and liberation—especially after hearing from adrienne maree brown (she/they) , facilitator, somatics practitioner, and NYT-bestselling author, who will inspire us to imagine what’s possible. ✨
But don’t take my word for it. Listen to one of our trainers talk about what you can expect from Camp re:power and why she's excited for you to join our gathering:

Why now? We need leaderful movements that can meet this moment and create something new—because we aren’t winning yet, but we aren’t lost. Our commitment is to be your movement training home for the long haul. We’re here to tell the truth about where we are, to heal together, and to recommit to the work ahead. Our theory of change is that liberatory organizing is the only way we’ll build the multiracial democracy we deserve. Camp re:power is one way we embody that work.

I echo the sentiments of Grammy-award winning Kendrick Lamar in his song Luther , "If this world were mine, I'd take your dreams and make 'em multiply." Come to Camp re:power to share your dreams of long-term liberation and let your community multiply them.
