Musk is coming for our Social Security – and we’re in the fight of our lives to save it.
After Musk gained access to the Treasury Department last week, he quickly zeroed in on the payment systems that disburse trillions of dollars annually – from Social Security to Medicare and Medicaid.
Alarm bells went off across the country and a federal judge temporarily blocked DOGE’s access to the Treasury payment system over the weekend…but it’s not clear if Musk and Trump will even comply with the order.
The unelected richest man in the world (with billions in government contracts) has been set loose to gut our government. Outrage is building – Democrats rallied outside of the Social Security Administration this week and some Republicans are even starting to raise questions. But to actually stop Musk and protect Social Security, we’re going to have to activate like NEVER before.

When DOGE seized access to the Social Security data system, Musk suddenly had millions of people’s bank and credit information, Social Security numbers, birth and marriage certificates, and citizenship status at his fingertips.
A federal judge temporarily blocked DOGE’s access, warning of the risk of “irreparable harm” for those relying on Social Security checks, veteran benefits, and medicare payments. But the Trump Administration was quick to criticize the ruling – and it’s not even clear if they plan to comply (or how we’ll know for sure if they did!).
Social Security is under serious threat. Musk plans to radically downsize the government – including the Social Security Administration. If he succeeds in slashing SSA funding, which gets payments out to 70 million seniors, people with disabilities, and children, ALL of us will pay the price. There will be longer wait times to get help, more delays on everything from disability hearings to payments. People will die.
Bernie’s been clear all along – this is a constitutional crisis:
 We may be in crisis, but the fact is we can defeat Trump and Musk. The public (and Congress!) is beginning to fight back. But it’s going to take outcry from ALL of us to stop this takeover.
