John,

Elon Musk’s DOGE wants to hollow out federal education funding, causing chaos and shutting down contracts that tracked data and provided guides and resources to schools across the country.1

At the exact same time, his company, SpaceX, just secured millions more from NASA2 — adding to the $18 billion Musk’s companies have pocketed from federal contracts in just the past decade.3

Coincidence? We don’t think so.

This is what corruption looks like: While everyday Americans see their schools and health clinics defunded, billionaires use their political influence to grow even richer.

And it gets worse: Trump has nominated Jared Isaacman — a billionaire tied to Musk and whose company paid a $750,000 fine for financial disclosure violations just last month — as NASA administrator (in other words, the person who signs the checks going to SpaceX!)

We’re not trying to scare you — and at Issue One, we believe in speaking plainly, not pushing needless hyperbole. But we’re seeing a hostile takeover of our government by a handful of ultra-wealthy insiders.

Article I of the Constitution is clear: Congress controls federal spending — not billionaires. Congress needs to stand against this takeover; add your name to remind them that they have the power of the purse!

For years, Issue One has warned about the dangers of big money in politics. Now, we’re seeing the unmistakable consequences.

It’s time for Congress to step up, rein in Musk’s unchecked power, and ensure our taxpayer dollars are spent fairly and not for personal gain.

Houston, we have a problem. But together, we can fix it. Add your name to urge Congress to stick to their constitutional duties.

Thanks for taking action,

The Issue One Team
