Presidential Inauguration

     I am grateful to have attended the swearing-in of Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States. Last year, the people spoke, and Republicans achieved a government trifecta securing the Presidency, the House, and the Senate. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance are in place to deliver solutions to the American people and revitalize the American spirit.

     Under the leadership of President Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson, and Senate Majority Leader John Thune, Republicans will work on behalf of American families to reverse the consequences of the Biden-Harris policies and deliver solutions to:

• Cut taxes and ensure Americans keep more money in their pockets.
• Unleash American energy and decrease reliance on foreign sources, while also making it affordable for all.
• Drain the Swamp and reform government bureaucracy so that it works on behalf of the American people.
• Secure the border from invasions by illegal aliens and terrorists, stop the flow of fentanyl, and restore safety to American families.

     On January 20th, 2025, President Trump was sworn-in, reinstating a feeling of patriotic renewal among Americans. The safety of American families will be restored; American citizens will be put first; democracy will be safeguarded; and America will ultimately achieve Peace Through Strength. 

2025 Legislative Agenda Tour

     I am grateful to have begun the new year by touring the district and promoting my legislative focus areas for 2025.

     Joined by city and county officials along the way, our stops included Aiken and West Columbia. I spoke about the current challenges before us, reviewed key accomplishments in 2024, and shared highlights of my goals moving forward.

     The following is a sampling of the focus areas in my 2025 Agenda that I will continue to support: 

• Create Jobs and Economic Growth
• Promote Conservative Solutions
• Combat Inflation
• Safeguard our Military and National Security
• Secure the Border

     Unfortunately, due to weather concerns, I was unable to visit Barnwell and North Augusta but look forward to rescheduling those stops soon.

     Much remains to be done, but I am committed to the people of South Carolina’s Second District and will continue to work hard to keep us all safe, promote jobs, and help make our lives and communities stronger.
