As a Support Officer within Housing Aid's private sector team you will provide provide administrative support within the Private Sector team, including performance monitoring and case investigation. You will also provideadvice and assistance to customers in emergency accommodation, with a particular focus on ensuring Housing Benefit claims are in place.
*ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:***
* Ability to advocate, negotiate on behalf of and represent citizens at service delivery level
* Ability to deliver to timescales and work on own initiative with limited supervision and oversight
* Knowledge of Welfare and Housing Benefit payments and entitlements including knowledge of resolution of benefit enquiries such as (but not limited to) backdated claims, new claims and income maximisation
* excellent team working skills and ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships
