Stop Trump's anti-immigrant agenda. Take action.
ACLU Supporter, President Donald Trump is threatening to withhold critical federal funding unless states and cities give up their resources to serve his dangerous, anti-immigrant agenda.
And right now, Congress is about to vote on a bill that would let him get away with it – so we have to stop him. We can't let the government blackmail our cities and towns. Join us by calling your representatives and urging them to vote no on H.R. 32, the Defund Our Communities Act. (You'll find a script on our action page so it's as easy as possible to talk to your Congress member's office). <[link removed]>
Tell Congress: Vote No <[link removed]>
Donald Trump is yet again holding our government funding hostage to win extreme concessions – this time threatening the government functions we depend upon, like road maintenance, schools, hospitals, and more to enforce a cruel agenda of racial profiling and mass deportations.
We'll be clear: Our government can't threaten basic public services to get their way. But the Defund Our Communities Act would do exactly that, cutting federal funding to state and local governments that won't or can't provide local resources to Donald Trump's mass deportations agenda.
We deserve better from our government – but it's going to take all of us to stop this bill. Tell your lawmakers to hold strong against this attempt to use our government's funding as a weapon against our own communities – and vote no on this dangerous bill. <[link removed]>
Thank you for your commitment to protecting our communities.
