John,
Throughout my career in politics, I’ve had one guiding principle: Love.
Love is the reason why, as a first-time candidate running for Newark City Council, I went on a hunger strike to draw attention to the desperation facing the most vulnerable communities in our city.
Love motivated me to run for mayor, and after coming up short the first time, love motivated me to get back up and try again.
Love is what has carried me through days when it feels like the forces of chaos and division keep our nation inescapably focused on destructive acts of hate.
There’s no such thing as too much love, John. It’s the driving force that keeps folks safe, gives us hope when we have none, and inspires us to create the America we know is possible.
I am so grateful that you have chosen to come all this way on this journey with me because that too is an act of love.
There are many forces inside and outside of politics that will seek to divide us, but I am confident that if we stick together, there is no obstacle that can stand between us or stop us from fulfilling our promise to one another — to build a government of, by, and for the people where no one gets left behind.
That’s why I’m humbly asking: If you can afford it, will you pitch in a donation of $10 or more to help me stand up to Donald Trump and take back the Senate majority?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Thank you, and Happy Valentine’s Day, John.
With love and gratitude,
Cory
