Friend — Yesterday we learned that Senator Tina Smith is not running for reelection, meaning Democrats will have to win an open Senate seat in Minnesota.

So, we have a simple question for you today: Should Ilhan Omar consider running to represent Minnesota in the Senate? Tell us what you think:

In her retirement announcement, Senator Smith said that our country is in need of strong progressive leadership right now, maybe more than ever, and we couldn’t agree more.

Trump and Elon Musk are looting our federal government, slashing crucial programs and agencies so they can lower their tax bill and boost their business interests. Not to mention that they are acting entirely through unconstitutional executive actions, ignoring the balance of power that makes our democracy possible.

We can’t afford to let the GOP pick up another Senate seat and further expand their majority — a majority that is completely uninterested in holding this White House accountable or delivering results for the working class of America.

So that’s why we really want to know: Do you think Ilhan Omar should consider running for this crucial open seat?
