ESTEEMED LAUREATES AND SCHOLARSHIPS

I was honored to attend the annual Kyoto Prize Symposium, where we honored the 39th Kyoto Prize Laureates—John Pendry, Paul F. Hoffman, and William Forsythe—for their contributions to science, culture, and the arts. The annual event, supported by the Inamori Foundation, also recognized the 2025 Kyoto Scholarship recipients, exceptional students from San Diego and Tijuana, furthering the mission of uplifting our region’s future leaders.

A NEW SIGN FOR LA JOLLA

After years of discussion, the La Jolla Rotary Club stepped up and built consensus on how we welcome residents and visitors to the community of La Jolla. Thank you for your collaboration, especially with the La Jolla Shores Association and the City Parks and Recreation Department. Thank you for the fundraising and the volunteer time. This is how we come together to move projects forward and improve our neighborhoods.

CELEBRATING ETHICS COMMISSION EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

#TEAMLACAVA IN THE DISTRICT

My Community Rep, Joaquin, spent a day out in the district volunteering with Meals on Wheels to deliver meals to seniors and veterans in Pacific Beach. By providing meals and community interactions we are helping our seniors stay independent and thrive at home. A big thank you to all the organizers and volunteers.
