Hi there,
What happens here in North Carolina might not stay in North Carolina.
Extremists are still trying to overturn the results of the election last fall for the state supreme court. And if they succeed, they could try the same playbook to gain unearned power across the country.
Jefferson Griffin lost the race fair and square to incumbent Justice Allison Riggs. A win is a win, and Justice Riggs’ victory has been confirmed by two separate recounts! But Griffin is challenging more than 60,000 ballots with the help of his extreme partisan supporters.
Why? Well, before last November’s election, he said he wants to ensure there’s a conservative majority on the court for the upcoming redistricting cycle, which could mean another decade of manipulated maps. We can’t let that happen.
At All On The Line, we know that far-right extremists will go to any length to undermine fair representation and silence the will of the people.
That’s why we’re fighting for fair maps and a truly representative democracy for voters in North Carolina and across the country, and it’s never been more urgent.
