*PCH Remains Closed*
[ [link removed] ] A segment of PCH remains closed today [ [link removed] ] to residents and businesses in burn scar areas due to the storm. Only emergency vehicles are allowed in closed areas. Caltrans and its partners are reassessing the situation today to determine when the highway may reopen to residents and businesses with passes.

An Ocean Water Quality Rain Advisory [ [link removed] ] is still in effect until *4 p.m. Friday, March 14*. Visitors to the beaches should avoid all water contact, especially near discharging storm drains, creeks, and rivers, during rainfall and up to 72 hours after. Potential beachgoers are also cautioned to avoid wildfire debris [ [link removed] ] that may end up on the beach.
Check Your ROE Status – Signature May Be Needed
After you’ve submitted your Right-of-Entry form, if your property appears as “Additional Information Needed” with a note of "Other Issue Pending Property Owner DocuSign Signature" on the Right of Entry (ROE) Dashboard [ [link removed] ], check your email for a message from DocuSign with the subject line: "ACTION REQUIRED - Los Angeles County Right of Entry Document." This email notifies you that your ROE has been reviewed and requires your electronic signature and proof of identification to complete the submission.

* Place your ID on a solid, dark background
* Ensure good lighting and avoid glare or shadows

* Make sure barcodes are clean and visible
*You have three attempts to verify your ID. If all fail, contact Public Works so a new agreement can be issued.*

FEMA Hiring Local Residents to Support Recovery
FEMA has launched a hiring process to continue its support of California’s recovery from the Eaton and Palisades wildfires in Los Angeles County.
California residents who are interested in a temporary position with FEMA and a variety of emergency management functions can apply through USAJobs.gov [ [link removed] ]. Applicants hired will join a recovery team already in place, composed of local and federal workers, voluntary agencies, and community organizations.
The following departments have positions available in Los Angeles County: Acquisitions, Civil Rights, External Affairs, Disaster Field Training Operations, Hazard Mitigation, Human Resources, Individual Assistance, Interagency Recovery Coordination, Information Technology, and Public Assistance and Planning.
