The Trump administration is calling the plan the “Powering the Great
American Comeback Initiative,”^2 but we know that’s a lie. This plan
doesn’t serve the American public — it only serves the interests of Big
Oil, the wealthy elite, and the ultra-rich who are working to dismantle
decades of hard-won climate protections.

If Trump and his billionaire backers get their way, the rest of us will be
left with dirtier water to drink, dirtier air to breathe, and a hotter and
more dangerous planet for our children. And make no mistake, those most
impacted will be the frontline communities who have already been hit
hardest by the climate crisis.

Why are they doing this? So Big Oil can maintain its dominance and the
wealthy elite can save a buck by skipping past regulations meant to keep
us and our planet safe.

But, John, the reality is: Trump can’t wipe away all of our
climate progress with a wave of his hand. His EPA still has to follow a
long regulatory process to advance his plans — and we’ll be there every
step of the way, fighting to protect our planet’s future.
