John,
Elon Musk and his right-wing allies love to talk about cutting "government waste" but when that government money is flowing into his pockets, it’s a different story.
Musk’s companies, including Tesla, SpaceX, and Starlink, have raked in a staggering $38 billion in taxpayer-funded contracts and subsidies—even as he pushes to slash Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.[1]
And a now-canceled $400 million contract for "armored Teslas" was backdated by the Trump administration to appear as though it occurred during the Biden administration, a move that reeks of political manipulation and fraud.[2] Yet, rather than face accountability, Musk continues to wield his influence unchecked. He’s even been allowed to self-regulate his own conflicts of interest under White House policy.
Musk is the wealthiest man in the world, yet he has benefited enormously from government handouts and tax breaks while advocating for devastating cuts to services that working families rely on. He’s not looking to cut government waste—he’s looking for trillions of dollars to help pay for more tax cuts for himself and his billionaire buddies.
While his companies enjoy taxpayer subsidies, his slash-and-burn tactics weaken our ability to invest in infrastructure, clean energy, healthcare, and more.
We must demand transparency and accountability. It’s time for a full, independent audit of all federal contracts awarded to Elon Musk’s companies.
Congress must investigate how taxpayer dollars are being funneled into Musk’s pockets while he pushes for even more benefits for billionaires like himself. Demand an independent audit of Musk’s federal contracts!
Musk and his right-wing allies, including Donald Trump, are actively working to dismantle federal agencies and services. They claim government spending is out of control while Musk’s companies take billions in government funds.
While Musk is taking a hatchet to government agencies, the so-called right-wing "DOGE" coalition in Congress has refused to take cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid off the table. Congressional Republicans are even pushing for $880 billion in cuts to Medicaid in their current budget, which would result in tens of millions of working people losing their healthcare coverage.
If Musk truly believes in eliminating "government waste," he should start by giving up the billions in taxpayer money his companies receive—not attacking essential services that working families rely on.
We cannot allow Musk to profit off of the government while undermining the very institutions that keep Americans afloat.
Demand an independent audit of Musk’s billions of dollars in federal contracts now!
Together, we’re fighting to expose billionaire corruption.
Thank you for taking action today,
David Kass
