EDUCATOR SPOTLIGHT
Ashley Cleare
Ashley Cleare
Kindergarten Teacher
Ralph Witters Elementary, HSCSD #1
Ms. Cleare’s dedication to her students, both in and out of the classroom, is truly inspiring, and she sets the gold standard for what it means to be a teacher and coach. As a kindergarten teacher, she has a gift for creating a classroom environment where every single child feels loved, valued, and supported, while she approaches each day with a passion for teaching and a genuine love for her students. Her ability to put their best interests first shines through in her engaging lesson planning, her ability to connect with each child, and her use of best practices in both reading and math instruction. She has an uncanny ability to meet each student where they are and guide them forward, which is truly remarkable. Beyond the classroom, Coach Cleare is a phenomenal middle school girls' basketball coach—a role that is no small feat! The relationships she establishes in kindergarten remain strong as her students grow, and those connections often last well beyond middle and high school. She instills confidence, discipline, and teamwork in her players, creating bonds that carry through all aspects of their lives.
“Whether she is in the classroom or courtside, Ms. Cleare radiates kindness, strength, and unwavering support. Every student she works with feels her genuine care, and her impact is felt not only in her own classroom but throughout the school. She is truly a remarkable teacher and coach whose influence leaves a lasting legacy.”
