In Congress, I’m focused on finding real solutions to make life more affordable — like capping out-of-pocket prescription costs and creating more good-paying jobs across the district. And I’m fighting off Republican attempts to help billionaires at everyone else’s expense by voting against their plans to cut Medicaid, threaten Social Security, and more.

Throughout my time in Congress, I’ve proudly taken on the powerful special interests on behalf of Kansas families. I stood up to Big Pharma by voting for a new law that finally allowed Medicare to negotiate for lower drug prices. And I supported the Price Gouging Prevention Act , legislation that would make sure large corporations can’t take advantage of consumers.
Listen, I’m ready to work with members of both parties to make progress on these issues — because higher costs are impacting Kansas families at this very moment, and we can’t wait until a time that’s more politically convenient to take action.
But let me be very clear: I will always fight back against extreme policies that hurt hardworking Kansans.
I won’t go along with the President’s plan to force families to pay thousands more per year on everyday essentials. I’ll speak out against his scheme to deliver trillions in tax cuts to the ultra-wealthy. And I’ll stand up against his proposal to raise the cost of health care for thousands of families across Kansas.
Instead of meeting the needs of regular folks, President Trump is clearly focused on the bank accounts of billionaires and big corporations. It’s wrong, it’s dishonest, and I need your help to put an end to it.
