Team, Donald Trump has been back in office for less than two months, and this much is already clear: We need to elect more folks like Martin across all levels of government. In the seven weeks since Trump returned to office, his administration has pushed an agenda that benefits billionaires like Elon Musk and leaves working families behind. House Republicans just passed a budget that cuts billions in Medicaid and SNAP — hurting families all to pay for massive tax handouts for billionaires. Trump is letting billionaire Elon Musk ransack the federal agencies that New Mexicans rely on, and that hold sensitive data like Social Security and bank account numbers. And Trump is pressing his plans to dismantle the Department of Education and rip critical federal funding away from our teachers and students. Republicans in Congress have done nothing to stand up to Donald Trump’s disastrous agenda — which is why Martin’s work to hold the Trump administration accountable is so important.
