The Washington Post
Two Montgomery County residents have sued County Executive Marc Elrich
(D) and the director of the Department of Health and Human Services
for providing direct financial assistance to undocumented immigrants
who live in the county and are not eligible for state or federal
stimulus checks.

The plaintiffs, Sharon Bauer and Richard Jurgena, are represented by
the conservative legal group Judicial Watch. In a lawsuit filed May 8,
they allege that the county’s new Emergency Assistance Relief
Payment program violates federal law.

challenging California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s executive order for an
all mail-in ballot election.

Judicial Watch filed the suit in a Sacramento district court Thursday
on behalf of Issa to block Newsom’s order, which would send absentee
ballots to all registered voters, Politico reported. Issa is running
for former Rep. Duncan Hunter’s seat in the wake of his resignation.
