Dear John,
In moments of uncertainty, it's easy to feel like progress is out of
reach. But it's necessary for all of us to find moments of light and
hope so that we have the strength to continue building strategies and
organizing within our communities. While this might feel futile,
especially in these past few weeks, it's this rigor that holds power and
will ultimately get us on the path to a future we believe in. We know,
together, we can resist the authoritarian right and continue pushing
toward a racially just democracy that serves all people.
At this moment, many are asking themselves:
Where are my hands most needed?
What needle do I have the capacity to move?
What do I bring to the table that others may not?
While these answers are personal to each of us, we know that racial
justice sits at the core of your values. You've been with us through the
highs and the lows of this work. Today we implore you to stay with us as
Race Forward stands strong for the rights of all communities of color.
