Hey there, Folks. With so many news stories coming out of
Washington every day, it’s challenging to know what’s important and what’s
just a distraction.

Here are three toplines that deserve your attention:

1) Republicans are stealing from working-class families to give billionaires
tax breaks.

This month, MAGA jammed through a budget resolution that lays out a $4.5
trillion tax break for billionaires by making major cuts to programs that
boost working-class families. 

My colleagues and I filed emergency amendments to defend Medicaid and
Medicare, protect civil servants, and lower YOUR taxes — not Elon Musk and
Donald Trump’s. 

We kept Republicans on the Senate floor until 4:30 AM working to stop this
insulting bill. When the final budget comes up for a vote, I’ll use every
tool in my toolbox to protect working families.

2) Our civil servants are under attack.

142,876 Marylanders work for the federal government. I won't sit idly by
while our friends and neighbors lose their livelihoods.

Civil servants are being targeted. Vital programs have been hollowed out.
The people of Maryland are already paying a heavy price.

I’ll continue drilling the Trump Administration and DOGE about this
politically-motivated witch hunt, and defend the rights of our civil
servants.

3) Inflation and costs are rising. 

Trump constantly promised to cut inflation during the election. He’s
failing.

Inflation is rising, grocery and gas prices have spiked, and lifesaving
prescriptions like insulin are more expensive than ever. Instead of
creating jobs, Donald Trump has forced tens of thousands of Marylanders
out of work. 

I’m determined to resist this president and protect your
livelihood.
And I’ll make sure to keep you informed every step of the way. 

Together, we will organize, push back, and push forward.
