Hi John, The District of Columbia Primary Election is tomorrow, June 2! 20 vote centers will be open, and voters can vote at any vote center from 7am until 8pm*. The usual 144 precincts will not be open on Election Day. Before you vote, find if you need to bring ID and use our ballot tool to see the endorsements each candidate has received, find where to vote in person or return your ballot, and make an informed plan to vote. Check out Rock the Vote's ballot tool now! No excuse is needed to vote absentee in D.C. Voting via mail-in ballots is strongly encouraged but is not required. Every registered Washington, D.C. voter should have received an absentee ballot application and a postage-paid return envelope via mail prior to the June 2 Primary Election. Your completed mail-in ballot must be postmarked no later than Election Day, June 2, and received no later than June 9 in order to be counted. You can also return your mail ballot in person at any vote center. If you've already voted, triple your impact by pledging to remind three friends to vote. Tomorrow, we have the opportunity to create progress and elect leaders who share our values. If you encounter any problems voting, call 866-OUR-VOTE or text OUR VOTE to 97779. Thank you for being a voter! Melissa, Rock the Vote *D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has announced a 7pm curfew on Monday, June 1 and Tuesday, June 2. Voting is considered an essential activity, so polls will remain open until 8pm, but you may wish to vote earlier in the day. |
