I’ve heard from Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike in Vermont who are worried about the impacts of Trump shutting down critical agencies like the Department of Education and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. They’re also worried about Elon and his DOGE team accessing millions of Americans’ private information and data to make decisions about Treasury funds.

That’s why I’ve been speaking out against Trump and Elon’s plans to enrich themselves and leave working families behind.

I was proud to stand with the workers at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau who have led the fight to protect hardworking Americans from big banks, scammers, and con artists like Trump and Elon.

Trump and Elon want to close the Department of Education to take money away from our kids and give it to billionaires. That’s why I spoke out against their plans to rob our children of their future.

I stood by hundreds of hardworking Americans, veterans, federal workers, seniors, and my Democratic colleagues to rally at the Treasury Department and take our power back from Trump and Elon.

Authoritarians win when we stop paying attention, John. That’s why we can’t stop speaking out for a second.
