Johh,
Valentine’s Day is a time to reflect on what and who we love, and for me, it’s simple: I love Colorado. I am a fourth-generation Coloradan, and I’m incredibly proud of the beauty of our state — the mountains, rivers, and forests that make it so unique. But beyond that, I love the spirit of the people who live here.
The people of Colorado are tough, kind, and endlessly compassionate. We stand up for what’s right, we care for our neighbors, and we never back down from a challenge. It’s this spirit that has made Colorado a leader in progress, from reproductive justice to environmental protections. I made the decision to serve you in Congress because I love Colorado – and everyone who calls this state home – and I’m committed to fighting for our future.
But right now, our country is at a dangerous crossroads. Donald Trump and his billionaire friends are doing everything they can to erase the progress we’ve made. We’ve watched him dismantle entire agencies that protect our health, safety, and rights. We've seen him become the laughing stock of the international community. I will not stand idly by as all the work we’ve done is wiped away.
To me, love means showing up. And I’ll continue showing up for you every single day in Washington.
We have an important mid-month fundraising goal to meet at midnight, and your donation will help ensure that I can continue standing up for the people of Colorado and our shared values. >> [link removed]
With deep gratitude,
