I’m ready to take that fight to all of New Jersey as governor. But it won’t be easy.

Team —

It’s Mikie Sherrill. From flying Sea King helicopters in the Navy to raising four kids and serving New Jersey in Congress, I’ve always believed in stepping up when my country calls.

Inspired by my grandfather, a World War II veteran, I knew from a young age that I wanted to serve. After graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1994 — the first class to include women eligible for combat roles — I spent nearly a decade on active duty, leading missions in the Middle East and Europe.

When I came home, I attended law school and went on to serve in a new way. I became a federal prosecutor, taking on fraud, building trust between law enforcement and our communities, and working to keep illegal weapons off New Jersey’s streets.

Then Donald Trump was elected. I watched him attack the values I swore to defend in the Navy, and I knew I had to step up again.

In 2018, we led a grassroots movement and flipped our district blue — the biggest red-to-blue swing in the country that year. Since then, I’ve fought tirelessly in Congress to make life better and more affordable for the people I represent.

Now, I’m ready to keep up that fight for all of New Jersey as governor. But it won’t be easy.

The last election showed that New Jersey can swing either way. With so few elections in 2025, Republicans are going to spend a lot of money to try and buy this race and turn back the clock on our progress.

We can’t take any of our progress for granted. The only way we can overcome their attacks and bring a different type of leadership to New Jersey is with the support of people like you.

Can you chip in $10 (or more) to help us keep fighting for New Jersey?

This fight won’t be easy, but I’ve never been one to back down when the going gets tough — and I’m not about to start now.

Thank you,

Mikie
