You’ve probably been getting a lot of emails lately and have been swarmed by the news cycle. I get it, I do. It’s been overwhelming, and these feel like catastrophic times. We are in the midst of a constitutional crisis.

I want you to know I’m fighting for you every day. Every day I step into my office or the Capitol building, I am fighting to better the lives of Veterans, bring down costs for working families, and defend critical government infrastructure that Trump threatens to dismantle.

But I must say that this fight has not been easy, and standing up for what’s right has made me an even bigger target by the far right. Earlier this month, Elon Musk accused me of treason because I went to defend USAID with my colleagues, and this is just the start of the attacks I know will come my way.

That’s why we MUST be ready for anything. But our fundraising has slowed down at the worst time. In times like these, we must prove our movement remains strong — to send a message to Trump, Elon, and MAGA extremists that Democrats are united in defending our democracy. Because the moment we show an ounce of weakness, Republicans will exploit it.

We cannot afford this fundraising slowdown, so I am asking you, sincerely, if you will please contribute whatever you can afford to our pro-democracy movement today. Every dollar sends a message that we won’t back down.
