Team,

Last weekend, I met with members of the community to discuss the harmful impacts that could occur with President Trump’s potential funding freeze.

This funding freeze would negatively impact workers, farmers, health care, and public safety by increasing the costs of housing, seeing a doctor, grocery bills, and more.

Along with the funding freeze, there has been a 15% cut in research grant funding for research projects across the country, which will directly impact the University of Michigan in our very own district.

The threats presented by the Trump administration will lead to negative impacts on Americans’ quality of life by dismantling programs that have life-changing effects and help the hard-working people who need them most.

As I continue to talk with local agencies that have been threatened to be cut off from federal funding, I am exploring every option to fight back and do the work necessary in Congress.

Will you make a contribution to show your support as I continue to work in Congress to create meaningful solutions and fight back against harmful policies like this funding freezes? Your support is needed now more than ever. [[link removed]]
