Trump and his unelected Co-President Elon Musk are attempting a hostile takeover of our federal government but House Democrats will not allow them to take over the role of Congress – laid out without ambiguity in Art. I of our Constitution. Congress alone has the power of the purse.

House Republicans may have relinquished their authority to Trump and Elon Musk, but House Democrats are fighting their illegal power grab in the courts, in the Congress and in our communities – with your help. [[link removed]]

In his first term, Trump made many promises that he failed to fulfill – a wall, infrastructure week, a health care plan to replace our lifesaving Affordable Care Act. He did keep one major promise, however: his Republican Tax Scam that gave massive tax cuts to billionaires and big corporations, with 83% of the benefit going to the top 1% and adding $2 Trillion to the national debt.

Tragically, Trump is committed to doing it again with a $4.5 Trillion tax cut for billionaires and big corporations that Republicans would partly offset by ripping away health care from millions of Americans. Just this week, we got confirmation that Medicaid and coverage through the ACA’s Medicaid Expansion are the prime targets of their drastic cuts.

Democrats believe in science and are fighting for the health and financial security of all Americans. Republicans are planning to raid Medicaid – ripping away health care from millions – to pay for tax cuts for their ultra-wealthy and big corporate donors. [[link removed]]

But make no mistake, Republicans do NOT have a mandate to decimate our health care. Today, 60% of Americans across party lines support the ACA – even without counting people covered through their state’s Medicaid Expansion who don’t know yet that “Kynect” in Kentucky or “BadgerCare” in Wisconsin, for example, is coverage under the ACA that ends if Republicans gut Medicaid.

House Democrats are united to Save Our Health Care, alongside YOU – our grassroots Volunteers in Politics. Our inside maneuvering in Congress can only do so much; your outside mobilization is what makes all the difference. We know that for many of you, the fight for the ACA and Medicaid is not only the cause of your life but the fight for life itself.
