Calling all new and prospective DSA members! Join Seattle DSA’s Member Engagement Committee for an introductory discussion of four core socialist concepts: The Working Class, Solidarity, Anti-Imperialism, and Organizing Methods.

This is the second in a series of three meetings for our February 2025 New Member Cohort – join us to meet fellow comrades and get an introduction to core concepts in socialist theory and organizing methods.

Meeting held in hybrid format; RSVP for zoom link. Masks will be provided and required for in-person attendees.

 Join comrades to review the Local Council’s Problem Statement and the Wellness and Cultural Coordinator  positions. These workshops will be held in an accessible location in the Fremont neighborhood.

Emphasis will be on participation by BIPOC, Femmes, LGBT+, Disabled Members. To ensure balanced participation, if you are interested in participating fill out the RSVP form.

To Endorse or not to Endorse, that is the Question:
SDSA Membership Feedback Sought for Candidate Endorsement

DSA member Michael Westgaard is running for Renton City Council and is seeking Seattle’s DSA endorsement. We have the opportunity to hear directly from him at two upcoming Q&A sessions. You can read his endorsement questionnaire here.

Endorsement Subcommittee Q&A: The Electoral Working Group’s Endorsement Subcommittee will be leading a session with Michael asking him questions that will look at his campaign’s viability and planning. Members are welcome to come listen in!

HYBRID Member Q&A: This is your chance to ask questions, learn more about his vision, and discuss how his platform aligns with chapter priorities.
