Dear Actors Fund Community,
The Actors Fund stands with our black and brown friends, families, colleagues, clients, donors, and everyone who has suffered from abhorrent racism that is sadly so prevalent throughout the country. We are committed to those who are tirelessly fighting for equality and justice, and dedicate using our voice and our work to make sure everyone in our community knows we are here for them.
The murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade, Breonna Taylor and many others demonstrate the horror of racism plaguing our society. We mourn the loss of these black lives, and are grieved and outraged by their deaths.
The Actors Fund stands for decency and love for every human being. We express this in the compassionate service we provide. If you need help, visit actorsfund.org/services, actorsfund.org/gethelp, or call the regional office nearest you.
Let us remember that we can, every day, do something about injustice. We will continue to listen to our friends, colleagues and community and educate ourselves on where we can improve our actions and our words—and we must match our words with deeds. We stand together in solidarity to say Black Lives Matter.
Joseph P. Benincasa
President & CEO of The Actors Fund
