We’re hoping to raise $10,000 for community bail funds in cities across the country. Will you join us in splitting a contribution to these 16 groups in need of our support?
Working Families Party

John, it was an incredibly painful weekend for our country.

We continued to mourn the murder of George Floyd by four Minneapolis police officers and speak out against the systemic racism that terrorizes and kills Black people in America every day. And we channeled our outrage through peaceful protest and uprisings on the streets and collective action online.

But we also watched in horror — many of us firsthand — as demonstrators in cities across the country were met with dramatic escalation, intimidation, and violence by law enforcement, leading to thousands of arrests.

That’s why today, we’re hoping to raise $10,000 for community bail funds in cities across the country. Will you join us in splitting a contribution to these 16 groups in need of our support?

In New York City, two NYPD vehicles drove through a crowd of protesters in Brooklyn.

In Minneapolis, the MPD opened nonlethal fire on journalists and people standing on their own property.

And in Salt Lake City, police shoved down an elderly man with a cane.

It could not be more clear that we need massive police and criminal justice reform in this country. We must call for the demilitarization of police forces, and investments in strong communities, jobs and healthcare instead. But as we build that movement, we must protect those fighting on the frontlines of justice.

Join us in splitting a contribution to 16 community bail funds across the country today so we can get protesters home safely.

Thank you for joining us.

In solidarity,
