I wanted to take a moment to say how incredibly grateful I am for the hundreds of volunteers who have been out across the City, gathering signatures and organizing in support of our campaign.

It’s been inspiring to see so many New Yorkers come together, sharing a vision for a safer, more affordable, and livable city. Every conversation, every signature, and every hour of volunteer time is a testament to the belief that we can stop corruption and make City government run better.

As we continue this fight, can I explain why raising campaign contributions through emails like this is so important, John? It will only take a minute.

Here are four reasons why you should contribute for the first time to my campaign:

1. I’m officially running against corrupt politician Andrew Cuomo – who sent thousands of elderly New Yorkers to their deaths during the pandemic, before resigning in disgrace and spending $28 million in taxpayer dollars defending his sexual harassment accusations. His campaigns are funded by special interest cronies, dark money donors, and real estate developers with deep pockets.
2. Today is the final day of the Campaign Finance Board filing period. Tomorrow, we report our fundraising numbers and they’ll soon become public. When that happens, we need to post the strongest fundraising report possible, because all eyes will be on us.
3. New York’s primary election is less than four months away. It seems far off, but it’s not. Raising money in the current time frame is absolutely critical if we want to win the June primary.
4. Campaign contributions are matched 8 to 1 by the City, meaning a donation of just $5 actually has a $45 impact.
