1) Headline of the Day
[link removed]

CNN writes:

The Education Department's civil rights office has been among the hardest hit by layoffs, with the Trump administration shuttering seven of its 12 regional offices and laying off nearly half of its staff...

The Office for Civil Rights, or OCR, aims to protect students by holding schools and colleges that receive federal funds accountable for combating antisemitism, islamophobia, racism and discrimination.

Have you ever heard such an incoherent crock of educrat babble than this?

Hello!! There is nothing in America that undermines the civil rights of minorities more than the public education system. Blacks and Hispanics are the victims of our failed inner-city schools.

What Trump and his outstanding Education Secretary, Linda McMahon, want to do is lay off thousands of useless "civil rights" lawyers in Washington (most of whom have never even stepped in a school) and give the money directly to minority parents so they can send their kids to good private or Catholic or charter schools, where kids actually learn! We can't think of a better way to fight racism.

2) EPA Announces the Biggest Deregulation in World History

Our new hero, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, announced yesterday that his agency is reviewing with the intent of reversing 31 of the costliest regulations it has ever imposed. This includes electric vehicle mandates, the greenhouse gas endangerment finding, the Clean Power Plan, and the social cost of carbon.

Kudos, Mr. Administrator.

3) Trump Is Right About Our Trading Partners Imposing Excessive Tariffs

We aren't fans of the trade war, but blaming Trump (as the media and the Left are doing) ignores one key point: He's right that other countries impose outrageous tariffs on American exports.

Is there a path to reciprocal low or zero rates? We wouldn't count Trump out. One idea we like, would be to start immediately with a zero-zero trade agreement with Argentina, which Javier Milei is reportedly interested in. That would knock our trading partners off their high horse.

4) The Brains Trust

UP co-founders Steve Moore and Arthur Laffer met with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and his senior adviser (who he poached from UP!), Alexandra Preate. They discussed strategies to push the Trump tax cuts over the finish line as soon as possible.

5) Greenlanders Vote for Freedom and Trumpism

When Donald Trump started talking about bringing mineral-rich and income-poor Greenland under a U.S. umbrella (as early as his first term), the media howled in laughter.

But Greenland just held a referendum of sorts.

The big loser was Prime Minister Mute Egede, a leftist who made opposition to Trump central to his campaign. Instead, in elections held Tuesday, Greenland's 29,000 voters showed they were far more interested in economic development and an openness to U.S. partnership.

Bloomberg reports: "Support for Greenland's leftist coalition regime cratered from 66% four years ago, down to just 36% in this election. The right-of-center coalition of Demokraatit and the Naleraq party won 55% of the vote. While both parties criticized Trump's blustering over sovereignty, they agreed that they would be favorable to a closer form of association and cooperation with the U.S."

Egede pleaded with Greenland's voters to remove "the shackles of the colonial era." Instead, it appears they decided to throw off the shackles of socialism.

If Greenland became a territory of the United States, every resident of resource-rich Greenland would become very rich very soon.
