Yesterday, my dear friend Senator Jeanne Shaheen announced her decision to retire from the U.S. Senate. While I know she’ll stay in the fight, she leaves behind an incredible legacy, including being the first woman in U.S. history to serve as both a Governor and a U.S. Senator. Her leadership has shaped New Hampshire and our nation in profound ways.

From championing our economy and environment to advocating for our veterans and military families, Senator Shaheen has worked tirelessly to make a real difference. Her ability to build bipartisan support and her steadfast commitment to doing what’s best for our state are qualities that have earned her the respect of all who work with her.
