I hope that this message finds you well and in good health.
As my colleagues and I in the House continue to work tirelessly to enact legislation that addresses the public health and economic impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic, one thing has become clear -- President Trump and his allies in Congress will lie and obfuscate to hide their failures and get in the way of actually addressing the enormous problems we face. At the core of their lies is a dismissal of facts, science, and evidence in favor of political expediency.
Lee Zeldin has been one of President Trump’s loudest and most vocal allies. He has been in lockstep with Trump at every stage of his presidency, and now is no different.
We all want to return to normal, but the only way to really do that is by beating Trump in 2020, and beating his Congressional allies, too. We have a real opportunity to do that in New York’s First District, if we rally behind Nancy Goroff. If Nancy wins, she will become Congress’ first ever female Ph.D. scientist, and I cannot imagine a more meaningful change in the Halls of Congress than replacing Zeldin with Nancy.
