I voted NO for our babies, our elders, folks with disabilities, and our most vulnerable
I voted NO on the shameful Republican government budget bill that’s moving through Congress right now. We are on the brink of a government shutdown, and Trump’s allies are leveraging this to make harmful cuts to essential services and write him and Elon Musk a blank check.
This bill passed the House of Representatives by a razor-thin margin. Now, we need Senators to stand with the people. Will you call on your Senators and ask them to vote against the Republican budget bill? At this critical moment, a call from a constituent like you can make a huge difference.
YES, I’LL CALL
This bill is truly a disgrace and it would harm everyone who calls America home.
- Instead of helping people make ends meet, this bill would harm our most vulnerable by cutting essential health and food assistance programs that families, seniors, and veterans depend on to survive.
- Instead of helping people stay safely housed, this bill would slash affordable housing and put elders, veterans, domestic violence survivors, and folks with disabilities at risk of eviction.
- Instead of reigning in Elon Musk’s unlawful assault on our federal government, this bill provides a blank check for him to continue dismantling government services.
To make matters worse, the bill does nothing to fund critical community projects or protect Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Simply put, this bad-faith bill would make people in my district and across the country hungrier, poorer, and sicker. It would further embolden Elon Musk and Donald Trump to continue their unprecedented assault on our government.
I voted NO on this harmful legislation, and now we need Senators from every state to stand with the people and do the same.
Call your Senators today. Right now, we need the Senate to hold the line against Republican extremism and cruelty in Congress. Click here and we’ll show you the right numbers to call, along with a script.
