Yesterday, news broke that Trump has launched his retribution campaign against me — and he’s weaponizing the Department of Justice to do it.

Trump’s DOJ has opened a sham, politically motivated investigation against me because I’ve stood up for Ukraine and held him accountable. This is nothing more than an attempt to intimidate and silence public servants like me. But let me be clear: It won’t work.

Since day one, Trump has used the power of the federal government for his own corrupt, authoritarian agenda. And now, he’s trying to smear and discredit Alex and me for blowing the whistle on his 2019 attempt to extort Ukraine. Just last year, he called us “the worst people” and told Virginians they needed to “teach the Vindmans” a lesson. This is his way of doing just that.

Trump and his MAGA allies want me out of office. This is their plan to do it, and we cannot let them succeed. We must show them that we will not be silenced.
