The other night I went on Instagram Live to talk about Elon Musk appointing teenagers to raid the Department of the Treasury. Someone commented “a bartender Congresswoman talking about qualifications.”
I know what it's like to be a working-class person.
And I got elected as the youngest woman in American history to Congress with my knowledge, and my ability to organize and connect with my community.
So when any one of these people can win an election with that kind of a background and they don't take lobbyist money, then they can give me a call.
Until then these people seem to be having three martini lunches, thinking that they can command the respect of the Defense Department. Give me a break.
Our fight for transformative change makes a lot of classist, ageist, misogynist, and racist people mad.
But together, we’ve built a movement that won’t back down. Thank you for being a part of it.
