Moments of tragedy and struggle require leadership.
Where is it?
Our Governor has yet to make a statement about the protests that have broken out all over this state, but he has had time to mobilize the National Guard.
The armed forces have been brought in without a word from our Governor.
On top of that, today is the last day of the ban on evictions in this state and he has not made a decision about whether it will be extended.
Lives hang in the balance as Floridians in our most vulnerable communities look for action. People who have not been able to return to work and still have not received benefits from a broken unemployment system are asking, "What happens next?"
In times like this, we need to see strong leadership. Leaders that bring us together, acknowledge the problems that exist in our society, and work with the community to take action and change the root causes of these problems.
We need an unemployment system that we can count on in times of hardship.
We need reforms in our law enforcement to address the systemic issues of racial injustice and inequality.
And we need leaders in office to make those things possible.
Join Team Andrew and help bring a new generation of leaders to Tallahassee.
