Gina should be in her senior year of college right now. Luke should be getting ready for his brother’s wedding. Alaina should be chasing her dreams. But they’re not — because the systems meant to protect them failed.

As a parent, it devastated me to learn that my daughter’s murder was not inevitable.

There were warning signs. Opportunities to intervene. If proven measures like red flag laws and threat management had been in place — and used effectively — our children would still be here today.

That’s why we refuse to stop pushing forward.

In the months after my precious Gina’s murder, I walked from congressional office to congressional office, showing lawmakers photos of her beautiful smile. I needed them to understand the human toll of inaction. And I needed them to come together — across party lines — to do something about it.

Our 2025 first end-of-quarter is approaching, and fundraising has slowed — but we can’t afford to lose momentum. America’s schools need us pointing out where better decisions should have been made — so no other parent feels this pain.
