Here's just a sample of Musk's destructive actions:

* Musk, the wealthiest man in human history, has decimated funding for
rural American farmers as well as funding to help feed the poorest
children on the planet.^1,2
* He is cutting funding for cutting-edge medical research that is
finding cures for diseases, including cancer, Alzheimer's, and
diabetes.^3
* As part of his plan to obliterate Social Security, which more than 70
million Americans benefit from, Musk is baselessly spreading a
conspiracy theory that there is widespread fraud in Social Security
payments.^4

Now is the time to put the pedal to the metal in our fight to stop Elon
Musk's efforts to harm everyday people in a multitude of ways, including
by slashing and burning Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

We can win this fight against Musk. In fact, the tide is already turning.

In a poll from The Economist/YouGov taken in the days after the 2024
presidential election, 47% of Republicans said that they wanted Musk to
have "a lot" of influence in Trump's administration.^5

But less than a month into Trump's second term, even Republican voters are
souring on the billionaire who is attacking children, veterans, and
recipients of Social Security. A poll released last week found that only
26% of Republicans want Musk to have "a lot" of influence—a massive drop
of 21 points in a very short period of time.^6

The New Republic's headline says it all: "Elon Musk's Ego Sure to Get
Massive Blow from Stunning Poll Results."^7

Now we need to raise our voices collectively and powerfully for as long as
it takes to wrest control away from Musk.
