In a moment, I’m going to ask you to chip in to my re-election campaign before our big fundraising deadline at midnight tonight, [link removed] but first, I want to tell you why I’m a target for defeat in 2026.
Yes, it’s true that the Republican Senate campaign committee believes they can secure 55 Senate seats in 2026, and that they can do so by defeating me in the Commonwealth. That’s alarming in itself.
But the real reason I’m a target is simple: I’m not afraid to speak out.
I’m not afraid to speak out about how our unelected co-president is gutting federal agencies and – no shocker here – prioritizing cutting those that regulate his companies.
The richest man in the world is using the federal government to promote his business interests. Public service is about strengthening our communities, NOT enriching yourself.
I refuse to stand idly by while our unelected co-president dismantles our federal government and rebuilds it for himself. So I’m speaking out, and that makes me a target.
Elon Musk spent $288 million last year alone to elect Republicans. We have no idea what he’s prepared to spend in 2026, but it’s a safe bet to assume that 1. it’s going to be A LOT. And 2: it’s going to be used to take down Senators like me who are holding him accountable in the public arena for his destruction every step of the way.
